When the Shit Hits The Fan. To survialists and preparedness people, this is the big disaster. Normally connotates the total break down of civilization and social order. Bug-out bag A bug-out bag is a portable kit that contains the items one would require to survive for seventy-two hours when evacuating from a disaster. It is also known as a 72-hour kit, a grab bag, a battle box, and other popular names include GO Bag and GOOD (Get Out Of Dodge) bag. The focus is on evacuation, rather than long-term survival, distinguishing the bug-out bag from a survival kit, a boating or aviation emergency kit, or a fixed-site disaster supplies kit. The kits are also popular in the Survivalism subculture. The term "bug-out bag" is related to, and possibly derived from, the "bail-out bag" emergency kit many military aviators carry. The concept passed into wide usage among other military and law enforcement personnel, though the "bail-out bag" is as likely to include emergency gear for going into an emergency situation as for escaping an emergency. Survivalism is a movement of individuals or groups (called survivalists or sometimes preppers) who are actively preparing for future possible disruptions in local, regional, national, or international social or political order. Survivalists often prepare for this anticipated disruption by having emergency medical training, stockpiling food and water, preparing for self-defense and self-sufficiency, and/or building structures that will help them survive or "disappear" (e.g., a survival retreat or underground shelter). Anticipated disruptions include the following: Clusters of natural disasters, patterns of apocalyptic planetary crises, or Earth Changes (tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, blizzards, severe thunderstorms, etc.) A disaster caused by the activities of humankind (chemical spills, release of radioactive materials, nuclear or conventional war, oppressive governments, etc.) The general collapse of society (caused by the shortage or unavailability of electricity, fuel, food, water, etc.) Financial disruption or economic collapse (caused by monetary manipulation, hyperinflation, deflation, depression, etc.) A sudden pandemic spreading through the world population Widespread chaos or some other unexplained apocalyptic event ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have always been  in pursuit of the perfect `tactical nylon`. The elderly among us is aided by riksha units.I remembered our Aamir briefed us about how this situation resembles the aakhirah, that if we had too much stuff to carry, it would be a burden for us to move around there, and we should left unnecessary stuff behind.
